Two-Year-Old Killed in Vicious Dog Attack in Concord, California

A California man is in jail after his two-year-old step-grandson was attacked and killed by three of his five Pit Bulls. Steven Hayashi has claimed to have to no idea how the toddler got into the garage where the dogs were kept, as it is usually locked. However it happened, Hayashi is making no excuses for himself or the dogs and has expressed sincere regret since the Thursday attack.

The biggest tragedy, as with most dog attacks, is the ease with which the mauling may have been prevented.

The dog believed to have instigated the attack, bearing the deceptively gentle name "Kiwi," had already killed another pet - the family's Chihuahua - just before Hayashi's grandchildren moved in with him. Still, the dog was not reported or put down, though Hayashi acknowledged that he did not trust the animal around the young children.

Actress Christina Milian's Dog Bites Old Man; Old Man Sues

Actress and songstress Christina Millian's elderly neighbor has hired a personal injury attorney to go after the singer/actress.  The 81 year old man claims that he was allegedly attacked by her dog in 2008.  Now, Lee Skolion is suing his neighbor and her family for an undisclosed amount in documents filed at Los Angeles County Superior Court., according to TMZ.

In his personal injury lawsuit, Skolion alleges negligence on the part of Milian and family.  The bite, he claims, occurred after Christina's home had alleged flooding issues, causing the gate between the properties some damage.  As a result, Skolion claims that he went onto Milian's property to talk about fixing the gate, when the family's dog leapt up and attacked Skolion.

Skolion claims he needed 9 stitches and 9 months of rehabilitation to recover.  In addition, he alleges severe emotional distress, claiming that he needs the help of psychiatric professionals to help him through the anxiety.
