Witnesses to a two-car collision along Interstate 8 near Waring Road reported that the driver of a Land Rover was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after his vehicle rear-ended a Lexus SUV. The impact of the two vehicles caused the driver of the Lexus to lose control, hit the median guard and roll over. At least one person was trapped in the vehicle, according to local law enforcement car accident reports.

Two adults and two children were all transported to the hospital following the serious car accident. While the San Diego car accident is still under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, it's believed that the driver of the Land Rover caused the collision.

In this case, a number of witnesses pulled to the side of the road and several other witnesses called for emergency services at the scene of the accident. The witnesses may help to provide information about the case of the collision, including the speed of the two cars and any sudden movements either car took shortly before the rear-end highway collision.

Witnesses can be extremely useful if the victims in the car accident decide to file a car accident or personal injury suit against the alleged at-fault driver. If possible following a collision, the injured parties should try to record witness names and phone numbers. If it's not possible, the injured victims should at least speak with the law enforcement officers who responded to the scene of the accident to obtain witness information.
